    • Founders Hall is 99% finished, waiting for flooring company to fix deficiencies
    • Sanctuary New Doors have arrived and in the process of installing, should be done by the end of this week
    • Entrance B paving will be happening tomorrow and should be done by the end of this week
    • Lower Hub lighting are in the process of fixing deficiencies and should be able to get it done by the end of this week
    • Lower Hub flooring are still waiting for contractor to come fixing deficiencies but no update on schedule
    • Security system has been merged to one partition
    • Phone system should be ready after next week
    • New building keying process is waiting for quotation

    • City Building Permit issued
    • Founders Hall painting should be done this week
    • Entrance B outside paving should be starting this week
    • Upper Hub furniture is about %90 moved in
    • Security, Phone, Network, Key lock should be completed by next week

    • Entrance A outside wall is completed
    • Entrance B is about half way done, still waiting for exterior concrete slab and curb ramp to compete 
    • Founders Hall is about 90% done
    • C - Schedules is out and city building permit request has been submitted
    • The whole building expansion project is about 95% completed

    • Entrance A outside wall is half way done
    • Entrance B original door is closed and window has been installed
    • Entrance B is still work-in-progress, inside wall is done and paint job should be starting this week. Outside job should be starting next week
    • North Entrance doors are still work-in-progress and there is no estimate date yet to be completed
    • The reasons for C-schedule not out yet are
    1. Addition fire pull station and fire horn in foundation are not done
    2. Fire-shutter between old and new kitchens are not done due to missing parts
    3. Lower Hub janitor room fail to meet fire regulation and need to close the ceiling
    • The good news is all the issues should be able to address them by the end of this week. That means, we should have C-schedule out by Friday!
    • The cross on the Southside wall has been taken down and sent back to the shop to rework
    • Painter should be coming again this week or early next to finish up founder hall and touch up new building walls
    • Network connection between old and new building has been hooked up

    • Entrance C and D roof shingles have been replaced.
    • Entrance A outside wall face-lifting in progress 
    • Entrance B Doors have been installed and about 70% finished
    • I believe C-Schedule has been issued and occupancy permit request have been submitted but not yet issued
    • Network and security are still work-in-progress

    • Entrance B door removed
    • New entrance door frames have arrived and being installed
    • New Kitchen Fire-shutters installation completed
    • New building firestop installation completed
    • West side parking lot fences and bin removed
    • There are new exist lights and fire alarm still need to be installed and relocated, C-schedules and occupancy permit have not been issued yet
    • 80% office furniture on upper Hub have been installed

  • Aug 26, 2016


    • Contractors continued to follow through to rectify the identified deficiencies.
    • The fire alarm test completed successfully on most critical items.  However, the functional test of the fire shutters at the kitchen still yet to be done.  The supplier has delayed the delivery of these shutters to the first week of September.
    • We are striving to submit Schedule C to the City for occupancy permit by September 6 upon completion of all outstanding fire and safety related issues.
    • We have received another load of office furniture donated by the Government of Canada.  Thanks to all participated members moving and placing them in place.  We also wish to thank the members for their commitments assembling and setting the in place in next few weeks.

  • Aug 19, 2016


    • The construction work of the new building has substantially complete as planned.  However, there are still many touch up, clean up and some exterior finishing work to be done in next few weeks.  A number of church representatives together with the architects (N-53) and the contractors (Synergy) had conducted a pre-occupation walk though identifying deficiencies. 
    • Due to issues in the existing fire alarm panels, the testing and commissioning of the fire alarms in the new building had to be re-scheduled for the following week.  Application to the City for occupancy permit is to follow.
    • Paving restoration and repair complete on the west side.  Grading and paving on the north and south sides are still outstanding.  We are also asking the contractor to quote the cost of additional paving repair on the east parking lot.
    • We have received a generous donation of surplus office furniture from the Government of Canada.  Some items had arrived on Aug 20 and the remaining is scheduled to arrive on Aug 27.  We wish to thank our church members connecting us with the government departments and taking parts in shipping and moving.

  • Aug 12, 2016


    • The main washrooms completed and the passage between the main corridor and Lobby A re-opened.
    • The second floor is being cleaned and getting ready for moving in.
    • Contractors have started working on the flooring in Founders Hall.
    • Roof drains connection to storm sewer complete.  Paving repair scheduled for next week.
    • The roofers still have to finish the installation of eaves troughs and soffits around the new roof next week. 

  • Aug 5, 2016


    • The new building construction work is still being targeted to complete by August 19.  However, the completion of the new south entrance, parking lot paving repair and Entrance A exterior re-facing are being delayed for two to three weeks due to some uncontrollable reasons.  We are still aiming to moving in the new building around the Labour Day weekend pending on City inspection.
    • We are striving to complete the main washrooms and to re-open the passage between Lobby A and the main corridor by August 11.
    • The partition system arrived and installed.
    • The fire alarm and emergency light system are scheduled for testing on August 16. 

  • Jul 29, 2016


    • Three more weeks of construction/renovation work counting down to August 19, the target completion date. 
    • The majority of the critical construction work is complete.  The workers are focusing on detailed finishing and painting.
    • The electricians are working on the fire alarm and emergency lights systems. 
    • The structural work of the new south entrance is complete but we are still waiting for the delivery of the windows and doors in early August.
    • The flooring work on the main floors is about 75% complete expecting two more days of work.  The flooring work in the Founder Hall will be done in the second week of August.
    • The floor tiles installation in new washrooms is 50% complete.  The fixtures will be installed as soon the new floor tiles are set. 

  • Jul 22, 2016


    • Stucco work mostly completed, the contract will start working the exterior finish of the existing east wall (around Entrance A).
    • The construction and finishing work on second floor is mostly complete, just some touch up, sound proofing and cleaning is yet to be done.  
    • The T-bar ceiling on the main floor is complete, light fixtures installed.
    • The flooring work on the main floor is scheduled to start on July 25 and expected to complete by July 29.
    • The walls in the main washrooms finished and painted and vanities installed.  Detailed mechanical and plumbing installation work is scheduled to start on July 25.
    • The construction and renovation work is expected to complete on August 19.  We also target to move in around the Labour Day weekend pending on building inspection by the City.
